  • Carotid-Subclavian Bypass - The Carodid arteries are located in the neck, the subclavian blood vessel branches from the aorta and takes blood to the head and arms (situated beneath the clavicle). To create a bypass, the surgeon attaches a new blood vessel at a point above the blockage and connects it to the subclavian below the blockage.
  • Femoral-Popliteal Bypass - The femoral artery is located in the thigh, the popliteal artery near the knee. To create a bypass, the surgeon attaches a new blood vessel to the femoral artery at a point above the blockage and connects it to the popliteal artery below the blockage.   • Femoro-Femoral Bypass - In this operation, the doctor attaches a new blood vessel from the femoral artery in one leg to the femoral artery in the other.
